Director of Online Sales & Operations of an ecommerce company

A demanding and exciting e-commerce leadership position based in Budapest, which reports to the CEO and has five head of direct reports. She or he will be responsible for customer focused product development and online sales performance, while leading a data driven marketing and delivering online sales results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build close relationship with all insurance companies present on the market
  • Preparation and participation in negotiation of best bonuses with insurers
  • Managing and controlling product updates and product introductions
  • Increase the speed of product development (go to market)
  • Developing & implementing the company online sales strategies
  • Reaching online sales targets
  • Driving customer satisfaction
  • Managing and controlling marketing acquisition costs
  • Developing & implementing insurance Marketing and Brand strategies
  • Planning campaigns and analysing campaign results
  • Optimizing conversion ratio on the website
  • Build strong relationship with internal stakeholders driving business projects with the involvement of the IT team


  • 7+ years of leadership experience
  • 7+ years of online sales &/ marketing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance industry
  • Hands- on experience in managing online sales (preferably financial products)
  • Experience in developing profitable marketing strategies and implementing vision
  • Experience in managing and controlling acquisition costs (CAC) and LTV
  • Experience with sales / development of insurance products

Qualifications & certification

  • MSc/MA in economics or relevant field
  • Relevant Marketing/Brand/Online Sales training / education
